Blue Day Celebration

Blue Day was celebrated on 16th September 2016 in St. John’s School, Abu Road. It was a fun filled day for the students and teachers of K. G. Classes. Children and teachers came in Blue colour outfit. Teachers decorated the Classroom with blue coloured decorative things. Children brought different objects such as toy, balloons and decorative items all blue in colour.

To make the day more interesting students and teachers sang songs and rhymes based on blue colour. Teachers weaved interesting stories on blue colour. Students drafted posters. Everybody was delighted to attend such an enjoyable event.

 

Hindi Diwas Celebration

Hindi Diwas was celebrated in SJS on 14th September to remember the historic occasion of the Hindi language. Hindi was approved as an official language by the Constituent Assembly on 14th September 1949.

The students and staff of SJS celebrated Hindi Diwas in the school to mark the importance of the country’s most widely spoken language. A special assembly with a speech highlighting the importance and grand history of Hindi language, songs and dances by the students enthralled the audience. Samachaar Vachan Competition was organized for the Classes VI to VIII. Students enthusiastically participated in the competition.

 

Best Teacher Award

Patrika in Education and Mahavir Institute of Technology and Science, Jadan jointly organized a grand ceremony to award the teachers for their meritorious working in school. Mrs. Mamta Puri and Mr. Santosh Gupta of St. John’s School, Abu Road received the Best Teacher Award. Mrs. Mamta Puri received award for excellent Board result and Mr. Santosh Gupta for his art to awaken joy in creative expression and knowledge among students. Sprouts Day Celebration

With the idea of inculcating healthy eating habits right from the start, the finest tendency of eating sprouts among kindergarten, St. John’s School, Abu Road celebrated Sprouts Day on 22nd September 2016 in a vibrant atmosphere.

The Sprouts were made by the Class teacher and were shown to the children. Thereafter the teacher and co-teacher decorated plates using different sprouts and added necessary taste enhancers like Chat Masala and distributed the sprout chat among students. The students spoke about their colour, taste, texture and qualities. Class teacher sang songs based on healthy and yummy sprouts.

The children enjoyed this activity which was both fun filled and educational. This activity taught healthy eating habits together in groups to the toddlers in a very natural way.

 

Dab – n – Splash Poster Making Competition

Dab-n-Splash Poster Making Competition was organized on 21st September 2016 in St. John’s School, Abu Road for classes 1st to 5th. Students participated with immense zeal and enthusiasm and made beautiful posters of their favorite cartoon characters, nature, scenery etc.

The students were asked to express their ideas through vibrant colours. Classes 1st and 2nd coloured the poster using wax colour, pencil colour and poster colours. Classes 3rd and 4th used finger prints to colour the picture and class 5th used ear buds to create amazing creations.

The students were appreciated for their best efforts. The posters of the winners were displayed on the School Notice Board.
