MAJ DP SINGH : MATCHING STEPS WITH CADETS HALF HIS AGE

Maj DP Singh, a 41 yrs old Kargil war veteran was badly injured during the war and barely survived his injuries. Today he is India’s first amputee marathon runner, famous as India’s Blade runner, and has successfully completed 14 half marathons till date and enshrined his name in the Limca book of records. Maj DP Singh now aspires to not only win laurels for India in sports at personal level but also motivate other physically challenged. He is also an avid speaker on motivation and has been delivering motivational talks with the aim of inspiring people around him.

He has been nurturing and grooming the future leaders of the Armed Forces and has been a constant source of inspiration for the younger generation. During the Cross Country Championship at the National Defence Academy, Khadakvasla, Pune he ran with the cadets and was a source of motivation through out the competition
