Beginning of the making of upcoming Olympic Gold Medalist at ‘SJS, Abu Road’

St. John’s School | The sport that has always enjoyed the distinction of awarding the first medal of the Games in Olympics, the sport that has involves accuracy and speed “The Rifle Shooting” has always been a passion of Dhruvraj Singh Bhati of Class XII Commerce of St. John’s School, Abu Road. He has been participating in the State Level Rifle Shooting Championship for the past four years.

He participated in the 15th State Shooting Championship which was held from on 27th and 28th August in Jaipur. He added another feather in his cap by winning the Silver medal in the Junior Group and a Bronze medal in Senior Group. He scored 44 out of 60 points and has been selected for the National Level Shooting Championship to be held in Jaipur in the month of November.

The Chief Guest of the event, Central Minister Lieutenant Col. Shri Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, India’s Forest Silver Medal Olympian Shooter awarded him for his achievements and appreciated his persistence efforts to do better. Dhruvraj dedicated his success to his parents and school. He thanked his father for always being very supportive.

He received a grand welcome in the school, Abu Road as he brought glory not only to the school but also for the district and state. The Director of the school Shri K. A. Shyam Kumar and the Principal Mrs. Uma Shyam congratulated him for his achievements and blessed him for his forthcoming ventures.
