adulthood article

Not just the days even nights keep the adults awake. At times it’s the dream for tomorrow or grudges of yesterday. Do you remember the days when drinking a sip of black soft drink was meant to be the sign of maturity but adulthood story happens to be entirely different? Its no more about drinks but the sips of that blood warming anger and agitation that we end up swallowing for the namesake maturity. So even if you belong to a normal yet-not-so-normal

Indian family you may know what has changed:

1. One among ten follows dream: Step back and try to remember all those days when you discussed your dream job or passion for an art, Buy drugs over the internet you had a spark in your eyes and a similar dialogue on lips “when I grow up….”. Reality check, today all you have in your eyes is tiredness after a long working day.

2. When you sip your drink: So as said, that glass of coke, when you got an opportunity to pick a glass of coke from a tray that was also serving Frooti or all those kiddo drinks, there was a sense of achievement. But do you actually remember when you had first sipped your beer or whiskey, there was no sense of achievement, rather a fear had started following you from that very day.

3. When frocks turned in formal skirts: Those sweet frocks that our moms bought for us to let us look like an untouched fairy, they were precious. Not just because they were beautiful but someone was making choice on your behalf, but when it came to buy the first formal attire, I stood alone in-front of those shady black and grey colors.

4. Shaka laka Boom Boom pencil still is in memory: Remember after seeing these super power shows like Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Richie Rich, Shaktiman and then many more, all these had kept our brains occupied whole day with different plans for a hypothetical situation “ if I too had superpowers then…” But today when you bank balance can help you buy your wishes, can you name one that you have fulfilled as in your list of “ if I too had superpowers then…”.

5. Permissions have turned in short informing texts: To skip an hour of study at home, and run out with friends to play your self-evolved games, you needed a xanax europe shipping permission “mummy, can I go out to play?”. But when was this permission last taken, you won’t have realized, this permission have changed in “mummy, I’ll be late, will come by ___”.

6. And the fear of loosing your parents: Early childhood days had always a fear, “if I get lost in the crowd?” and then that small chit that had home –landline number written that our parents had always placed in our pockets. Time flies, and soon we realize that it’s not we, but they’ll be soon lost, in a different world where the mobile number can’t even help them way back. And all of us know this really well.

7. Off course you no more have crushes: And that school days crush, be it your first teacher- crush or a classmate or that girl in your colony, it is still the purest thing you have ever felt, but do you really have this pure crush or its love cum a calculative decision to get settled. I hope next time you see your partner you may know what I just made you feel…..!!!

Off course ADULTHOOD isn’t satisfying, but you can’t even change it. But there are few things that we busy adults can do, like fulfilling your crazy wishes, a shopping spree with parents, try drinking Nimbu-Pani instead of vodka with Mojito, find out those long-lost passions and start living it today. Happiness can start any day, it doesn’t follow any calendar.
