2 specially abled Musician/Singer making Hotel Silver Oak, Mount Abu a musical Paradise

Music is a different World in itself, singers forget everything around them and enter into a new world when they go live in the audience, they close their eyes and mesmerize people around them, but what about the singers who have never seen the World , who don’t need to close their eyes coz they are blind, who have to leave their world of darkness and enter into the world of imagination, and the moment they enter their dark world full of imagination and bright hopes, love and happiness, zeal to do something and always stay creatively alert people like Chandan and Surender amazes the World.

Chandan (24) and Surender (19) are young talented musician and singer who can easily play flute, dholak, guitar, keyboard, mouth organ and many other musical instruments and not only this both of them are also blessed with a melodious voice which they have sweetened with their regular practice and hard work.

 

 

You might be thinking what is the big deal in that, many people play numerous musical instruments and they are even very good singers then what differentiates them with other singers, the difference is they have sight of only imagination; Chandan and Surender both are blind yet educated and amazingly talented. When team abutimes witnessed them singing at Hotel Silver Oak, Mount Abu they approached hotel proprietor Mr. Shailesh Jain to know more about them and how they made it to sing at their hotel every evening.

Mr. Shailesh Jain informed Chandan and Surender’s father Shri Hari Singh was a gardener at their home, when Mr. Shailesh came to know that Hari Singh children are blind but they have a very good talent of singing he decided to promote their talent and boost confidence in them by recruiting them as a regular singers at their hotel to accompany with the guests staying in hotel and entertain them with their magnificent talent.

Every evening they sat in the lush green gardens of Hotel Silver Oak in front of hotel guests, play flute and key board and sing melodious old Bollywood and Sufi songs. Hotel guests who just arrive back from their visit to mount abu feels relax and energized listening their music, Hotel Silver Oak enrich with nature and beautiful garden, opposite to city station yet detached from the traffic and noise, all together crates a soothing ambiance and the presence of these very talented specially abled singers makes this place a musical paradise.

Chandan is the eldest among his four blind brothers, above music Chandan has done diploma in scientific massage for physiotherapy and motor rewinding course, recently chandan cured a first level paralysis patient Narpat Singh resident of Kumharwada, Mount Abu in just 15 days, where as Surender is pursuing his graduation from SMCC Abu Road in Arts and have done many live music shows. Chandan and Surender both dream to be a music composer and they idolize Ravinder Jain who were an Indian music composer and lyricist. They won the Filmfare Best Music Director Award in 1985. They are considered a role model for many people, as they overcame their disability of blindness.

Surender, lovingly addressed as Monu, started his musical journey more than a decade back at NAB-PNM Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind, as a little boy of 6 years. Soon after, his talent was recognized by then the Hon. Sec. of the centre, since 2003, Dr. Arun Sharma, a musician with a difference. He started NAB Music Makers with the talented visually challenged boys and girls in the centre. Surender was included in nearly all the presentations of NAB Music Makers that exclusively had all the environmental compositions (Arbud Geet) penned and put to music by none other than Dr. Sharma.

Mr. Shailesh Jain says he is very much fascinated towards the talent of these specially abled brothers, he have provided them music instruments and recently he gifted them a Samsung J2 smart phone, over promoting them Mr. Jain is running a free dispensary in the memory of their father Late Shri Jai Singh ji Jain, near world famous Delwara Jain Temple, where 30 to 50 patients mostly tourists and people of neighboring villages, are aided every day with free medicines and treatment. And how we can forget the recently organized blood donation camp initiated by their elder brother Mr. Sudhir Jain, where almost 500 blood units were collected i.e. itself a record in Jodhpur division of collecting most blood units in few hours single camp.
